Maximum Hook Height
The hoist trolley rides on top of the twin box girders — not below them — maximising the available lifting height within the same structural envelope. A standard maintenance walkway platform runs the full girder length for safe, unrestricted access to all hoisting components.
Robot-Welded Structure
All primary steel is robot-welded for maximum weld uniformity and structural consistency. Special sandblasting, primer, and environment-specific paint systems are applied to every unit — extending service life in coastal, chemical, and high-humidity environments.
Fully Configurable
Single or multiple hoists, secondary monorail below the girder, operator cabin fixed or travelling independently of the load, container spreader bars, Type-C hooks, and Ex-proof configurations — all available as factory-fitted options on the same base platform.
Goliath Performance for the Heaviest Environments
The Double Girder Gantry crane — also known as a Portal or Goliath crane — is the primary choice when the wheel load of an overhead crane would exceed what the existing building structure can support, or when lifting operations must take place entirely outdoors. Both legs run on floor-level rails, making the crane fully independent of any building. Spans up to 60 metres and capacities up to 500 tonnes are standard in Cesan's production range, with heavier configurations engineered on request.
The twin box-girder bridge is designed and robot-welded to FEM, DIN, VDI, and CMMA norms. Leg structures — box-section or lattice — are calculated for site-specific wind class, seismic zone, and duty cycle. All primary steel receives full sandblasting and environment-specific coating before dispatch, whether heading to a temperate assembly yard or a corrosive port environment.
Crane control is available via pendant push-button, radio remote, or fixed and travelling operator cabins. Cabins travel independently of the lifted load, giving the operator clear sightlines at all times. VFD stepless speed control is standard on all motions. Power supply via shrouded DSL conductor rail, cable reeling drum, or diesel generator — no permanent electrical infrastructure required for remote or temporary sites.
